Job summary

Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) invites applications for the role of Logistics Support Technician. The post supports Fleet Engineering & Supplies and Operational Area Command tasks including issue/receipt of SPATE and equipment, and driving all variants of NIFRS specialist vehicles.

The role involves testing, inspection, decontamination and certification of equipment, along with maintenance, transfer and delivery of gear to incidents and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receipt of SPATE and spare operational appliances.
• Test, inspect, decontaminate and certify operational equipment.
• Maintenance, transfer and delivery of equipment, supplies and personnel to operational incidents.
• Participate in regional duty standby rota to support out-of-hours service delivery.
