Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Forwarding & Logistics Operative to support export packing, bespoke crate manufacture, shipment preparation and transport coordination. You will liaise with hauliers, arrange bookings and monitor progress while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role covers warehouse handling, stock control assistance and continuous improvement in packing methods and processes across domestic and international shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, forwarding, packing, dispatch or warehouse.
• Experience preparing goods for shipment and transportation.
• Experience using woodworking tools, saws or packing equipment.
• Forklift Truck Licence.
• Good understanding of safe lifting, packing and material handling practices.
• Strong communication skills with hauliers and external service providers.
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Packing, Crating & Dispatch Operations: Prepare products for domestic and international shipment; design and manufacture bespoke wooden crates and transport frames; operate woodworking equipment safely.
• Freight Forwarding & Transport Coordination: Liaise with hauliers and coordinators; arrange transport bookings and schedules; monitor shipments.
• Warehouse & Material Handling: Receive, inspect and handle materials; load/unload with forklifts and handling equipment; organise storage locations.
• Stock Control Support: Assist with goods receipt, issue and inventory transactions; support stock counts.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify improvements to packing, transport arrangements and logistics processes; support lean activities.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Promote safety culture; operate equipment safely; adhere to 10 Life Saving Principles.
