Job summary

Speedy Hire in Reading is looking for a 3.5 ton delivery driver to join our team. You will deliver and collect hire equipment from customer sites, perform vehicle checks and ensure safe, professional handovers.

We offer flexible hours, a 42-hour week, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance and developmental opportunities within a growing national hire provider.

Qualifications

• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
• A professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• A responsible approach to driving, vehicle safety and manual handling.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Speedy Hire professionally.
• Working closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.

Based in Reading, as a 3.5ton Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting hire equipment from customers and sites, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.
