Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc. in Reading is seeking a 3.5-tonne Delivery Driver. You will deliver and collect hire equipment to customer sites, perform vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness, and provide professional customer service. The role supports hybrid/ flexible hours and a focus on work-life balance.

The position offers 42 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 07:30–17:00) with a pro-rated salary around £29,572 per annum, and benefits including life assurance, pension, discounts, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Speedy Hire professionally.
• Working closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.

Based in Reading, as a 3.5ton Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting hire equipment from customers and sites, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
