Job summary

GTG Training is seeking an experienced Logistics Development Coach to manage the learner journey from induction to end-point assessment, delivering classroom and workplace coaching. This customer-facing role requires outstanding communication and administrative skills with a passion for developing others in the logistics sector.

Qualifications

• LGV category C and C+E licences.
• Minimum of five years’ LGV driving experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maths and English at equivalent of Functional Skills Level 1 or above.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for learners, mentors and employers throughout the programme.
• Deliver quality coaching, support and information, advice and guidance to meet needs.
• Ensure workplace supervisors are familiar with processes and escalate issues as needed.
• Identify and plan to overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to learner needs.
• Conduct milestone reviews documenting progress against required skills and behaviours.
• Analyze data to monitor performance against targets and attendance.
• Capture the impact of training in the learners' off-the-job log.

Full time: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

About The Role

As a Logistics Development Coach, you will be responsible for the management of the learner's journey from induction to end-point assessment, making sure that all training is completed to a high level and in line with individual learning plans. This will include classroom and one-to-one coaching in the apprentice's workplace.

This customer-facing role will be a great fit for someone with a passion for developing others. If you have outstanding communication and administrative skills with a desire to share your knowledge and experience within the logistics sector, this is the role for you.

Day-to-day duties

• To act as the main point of contact for learners, mentors and employers throughout the programme of learning.
• To deliver quality coaching, support and IAG to meet employer and learner needs. This includes coaching mentors to deliver appropriate training to the apprentice.
• To ensure relevant workplace supervisors and mentors are familiar with the assessment/monitoring/off-the-job process and elevate issues where relevant.
• Establish and review barriers to learning and appropriately plan to overcome these, ensuring relevant delivery is adapted to meet learner needs.
• To conduct highly effective learner milestone reviews which accurately captures the progress of learners against the skills, knowledge and behaviours relevant to the standard.
• To access and analyse data available to determine performance against independent learning targets, online learning modules, attendance data etc.
• Ensure the impact of all training received is captured in the learners’ off-the-job log.

Essential Skills
