Job description

We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client. As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing freight in accordance with our client's company and customer requirements for both domestic and international shipments.

Role:

Logistics Coordinator

Salary:

25K - 27K, dependent on experience

Location:

Hemel Hempstead

Working Conditions:

Full time (9:30am to 6:00pm), Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize safe and secure transportation of all shipments
• Produce all documentation - Dispatch Notes, Invoices, Airway Bills, Dangerous Goods Notes, etc.
• Identify country of origin, tariff codes, and values for customs when required
• Ensure shipments are processed timely to meet company expectations and KPIs
• Liaise with freight agents and couriers for collection and queries
• Provide customers with airway bills and relevant documentation
• Coordinate with warehouse team for shipping documents
• Issue customs clearance instructions for imports and exports
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager/Operations Director

Required Skills & Experience:

All applicants must hold the right to live and work in the UK.

• Experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
• Thorough understanding of export/import requirements, customs procedures, and complexities
• Knowledge of regulations for carriage of hazardous materials
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Flexible and proactive to meet business needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Methodical and detail-oriented in record-keeping
