Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in manufacturing or shipping.

What are we looking for

We have an opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. This role oversees the efficient movement of goods, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, and works seamlessly with freight forwarders and logistics partners. The role is the primary contact for ITM’s materials movements (air, road, sea) and ensures timely, complete shipments to customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and optimise end-to-end supply chain logistics for domestic and international shipments.
  2. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  3. Oversee import/export operations, ensuring adherence to customs regulations and trade compliance.
  4. Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  5. Monitor shipments, troubleshoot delays, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  6. Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics providers for cost-effective solutions.
  7. Maintain inventory accuracy through detailed tracking and reporting.
  8. Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams for seamless workflow.
  9. Lead and coordinate product preparation for shipping, including packaging for multi-modal transport.
  10. Arrange supplies, stock, and materials for packaging to ensure efficient, safe processing.
  11. Coordinate aftersales orders end-to-end.
  12. Ensure correct processing of shipped products through our system for dispatch.
  13. Liaise with third parties for customs clearance.
  14. Arrange, control, and coordinate material movements for ITM.
  15. Consult with stakeholders (Warehouse, Production, Projects, Aftermarket, Procurement, Finance) on planning.
  16. Utilise logistics IT to optimise shipping and transport procedures.
  17. Arrange site-specific deliveries such as cranes and essential equipment.
  18. Monitor shipments and movements, keeping customers informed of changes or risks.
  19. Keep records of all shipping operations.
  20. Process all stock movements through Dynamics.
  21. Support daily goods scheduling.
  22. Proactively resolve issues and implement improvements.
  23. Ensure safety policies are understood and respected.
  24. Participate in improvement activities and training.

About You

Knowledge and Experience

  • Good application of maths and English skills
  • Intermediate software skills (Excel preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Certification in Export Processes
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics coordination, preferably in manufacturing or shipping
  • Deep knowledge of import/export procedures, trade compliance, and international shipping regulations
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding and TMS systems
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics 365)
