My client is looking for a bright graduate eager to kickstart their career in supply chain and logistics. The Logistics Coordinator is an entry-level role where administrative experience would be advantageous.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Customs & EMCS Operations
- Submit Electronic Administrative Documents (eADs) using the EMCS system.
- Manage customs clearance processes via Multifreight and Navision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and legal requirements.
- Prepare and verify customs clearance instructions using supplier invoices and Certificates of Origin.
- Ensure timely document preparation to avoid delivery delays.
- Handle a diverse range of commodities with a strong eye for classification and compliance.
Customer Service & Relationship Building
- Act as the first point of contact for customs-related queries—via phone and email—delivering first-class communication and problem resolution.
- Attend customer meetings to build strong relationships and represent the supply chain team.
- Understand customer needs and take action to continuously improve service delivery.
System & Data Management
- Produce customs entries and ADs in Multifreight.
- Maintain accurate customs information and records in Navision (e.g., entry and ARC references).
- Track and report clearance activities consistently.
Reporting & Compliance
- Create and manage weekly customs arrival schedules.
- Track entry numbers, duty payments, and additional charges.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on customs activities, both in-house and via third-party agents.
- Ensure adherence to UK customs clearance agreements and internal processes.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support customs and operations colleagues as needed.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and take ownership of key decisions.
- Be flexible with additional tasks as assigned by management.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Graduate calibre or equivalent working experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer or supplier relationship management experience
- System experience in an ERP environment
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 + bonus and benefits
