Job summary

HRGO Recruitment invites applications for a hands-on Logistics Coordinator in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. The role supports day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time, with robust traceability and documentation.

You will coordinate transport, manage carriers, handle goods-in and packing, and maintain a safe, tidy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a right-first-time approach for checks and documentation.
• Confident using internal systems/ERP for goods-in, dispatch notes, and traceability records.
• Good communication skills and ability to liaise with carriers and internal teams.
• Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise in a busy operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organising and coordinating day-to-day warehouse/logistics processes.
• Manage carriers: dispatch planning, performance monitoring, and service/cost reviews.
• Trial new carriers to ensure best service and value.
• Receive, unpack and check incoming goods and supplies.
• Book in deliveries onto the internal system and maintain product traceability where required.
• Process batch traceability and certification documentation.
• Support picking and packing products for dispatch.
• Complete accuracy checks before packing for dispatch.
• Raise dispatch notes on the internal system and prepare goods for collection by outgoing carriers.
• Keep the warehouse and yard clean and tidy; ensure pallets/packaging are removed into the FEL bins.
• Ensure the waste bin area around the FELs is clean and tidy.
• Book waste collections as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment, following all Health & Safety procedures.

• Contract: Permanent, Full-time


• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00, Monday - Friday (1 hour lunch 12:00 - 13:00)


• Starting Salary: £29,250 PA

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join an established, family run engineering business who is looking to recruit a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to support the smooth running of day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations. This role is key to ensuring orders are processed accurately, dispatched on time, and supported by robust traceability and certification documentation.
