Job summary

Elis is seeking a proactive logistics leader in the UK to manage fleet and driver performance, budgets and route profitability. You will drive continuous improvement, oversee risk assessments, and coordinate resources across teams to ensure exceptional service and compliance.

The role requires strong data analysis, Lean Six Sigma knowledge, and hands-on ability to optimise routes using TEC/ Dynamics tools, while maintaining international standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics leadership and fleet management.
• Knowledge of regulatory and HSE requirements for transport.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost control abilities.
• Proficient with route planning and performance analytics.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle and driver compliance with licences and legal requirements; monitor and implement improvements.
• Undertake risk assessments on customer premises for changes or new business.
• Investigate and optimise logistics routes using Telematics and Dynamics to reduce losses.
• Plan and coordinate resources, including temporary workers, to meet logistics needs.
• Lead and develop personnel with SMART objectives and regular feedback.
• Develop and monitor budgets; ensure routes are profitable and commissions are accurate.
• Foster strong working relationships between logistics, service and production.
• Drive continuous improvement and environmental efficiency across routes.
