Job summary

TGT group seeks a Wireline Logging Engineer to plan and execute logging operations on client sites in the UK, ensuring safety, quality, and data integrity under HSE guidelines.

You will inspect equipment, manage permits and clearances, and mentor junior field engineers while coordinating multiple projects and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical) or Geoscience.
• 2–3 years’ experience in the oil industry as a Wireline Logging Engineer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness and ability to travel; UK/EU right to work.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for logging planning and execution of logging operations safely at the clients' sites using appropriate methods, procedures, and techniques of TGT to ensure quality service is provided to each customer whilst adhering to HSE guidelines.

• Responsible for planning of well site operations in liaison with client focal point, ensure of the necessary documentation required such as work-permits, clearances etc. are in place.
• Physically inspect and ensure equipment are fit to use prior to start of any operation with valid certification, and good physical condition, and report any defects to the Maintenance Team.
• Perform memory and wireline logging jobs as per work order, operate memory logging tools (programming, downloading data, connecting, and running in hole whilst adhering to QHSE standards.
• Responsible to ensure that all company procedures are adhered to in terms of safety, quality, and record keeping.
• Responsible to monitor the logging operations and to ensure that Company and Client procedures are adhered to.
• Communicates regularly with the Operations Manager, with primary focus service excellence.
• Track action points from the monthly meeting to ensure prompt implementation of same wherever possible.
• Directs and assists junior field engineers in their day-to-day role in the department, including monitoring of schedules and adherence to same.
• Together with Operations Management, manage general TGT specific QHSE risks and promote respect, understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Perform comprehensive quality control for recorded data.
• Conduct well site operations to the satisfaction of the customer at the well site.
• Understand and ensure that operations are conducted in compliance with the local laws and client requirements.
• Control quality of the service during all phases of the operation and ensure that all answer products delivered to the client are of the highest quality.
• Prepare, draft, and complete all logs for printing on location or immediately upon return to office from job site, depending on company and customer requirements.
• Promptly and accurately submit all required reports and data.
• Maintain assigned equipment and facilities in a neat, workable condition and always conducts self in an exemplary manner.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Support Logging Services objectives; participate in company and client activities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised institute or university, preferably in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) or Geoscience.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in the oil industry as a Wireline Logging Engineer
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve Operational issues
• Knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedures related to the equipment, tools, and methods of the Company to ensure the efficiency of work execution. Ability of full Data Interpretation and Data Delivery on advanced level
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to influence others and lead teams
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Preferably having driving license (light vehicle) Pass offshore/onshore medical. Willingness and ability to travel
