Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon, preferably with a special interest in functional and reconstructive urology, based at QE.

The post forms part of a large urology team, with subspecialist services in incontinence, bladder dysfunction, and reconstruction. The role includes a 10 programmed activity basis and on-call rota, with a commitment to governance and audit.

Responsibilities

• Support the Functional Urology service at UHB (QE site) with an operating list at Solihull.
• Ideal candidate should have post-CCT level experience in functional and reconstructive urology.
• Work with a dedicated team of trainees and SAS doctors and run regular outpatient and diagnostic clinics.
• Participate in the on-call rota based at the QE site and comply with Trust policies.
