Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a skilled locum Consultant Urological Surgeon (10 PA) to support the elective recovery and restoration of Urology services. The initial post duration is 12 months and will be subject to review.

Based at the Royal Free Hospital, the post involves outpatient clinics, diagnostic procedures, inpatient and day-case surgical lists, attendance at MDTs and participation in audit and governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Out-patient clinics across the Royal Free Hospital and Barnet Hospital for new and follow up patients
• Outpatient diagnostic procedures e.g. flexible cystoscopy and prostate biopsies
• In-patient and day case surgical operating lists
• Attendance at multidisciplinary meetings
• Participation in the audit and governance activities of the department

Job description

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and knowledgeable locum Consultant Urological Surgeon (10 PA) to contribute to the elective recovery and continued restoration of Urology service within the Royal Free London.

This 10 PA locum post will work with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist expertise in the management of lower tract patients.

The post holder will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist expertise in the following areas:

• Out-patient clinics across the Royal Free Hospital and Barnet Hospital for new and follow up patients
• Outpatient diagnostic procedures e.g. flexible cystoscopy and prostate biopsies
• In-patient and day case surgical operating lists
• Attendance at multidisciplinary meetings
• Participation in the audit and governance activities of the department.

The initial duration of this post will be 12 months but will be subject to review.
