Job summary

Locum Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in primary lower limb arthroplasty is sought to join Hywel Dda University Health Board on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027. The post focuses on elective hip and knee arthroplasty within a regional programme across South West Wales.

The role involves outpatient clinics, elective operating lists, ward reviews and active participation in governance, teaching and service development, working within a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Undertake outpatient clinics, elective operating lists, ward reviews and related administrative duties.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and service development; teach and supervise junior medical staff.
