Job summary

South West London Orthopaedic centre (SWLEOC) is inviting applications for a Locum Consultant in Orthopaedics with a special interest in hip and knee surgery to work a 10 PA plan. An initial 12-month fixed-term locum post is available in SWLEOC, which provides regional elective orthopaedic services and aims for high-quality, cost-efficient care.

The successful candidate will join SWLEOC team, delivering flexible hip/knee services, and be involved in teaching, governance and performance.

Qualifications

• Must be on the GMC Specialist Register in the UK.
• FRCS (T&O) qualification.
• Fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty.
• PhD/MD or equivalent higher degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible orthopaedic service to patients with hip and knee problems.
• Deliver a high quality and high volume joint replacement service.
• Engage in departmental teaching, training, governance and performance.
