Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice.
• An appropriate higher orthopaedic surgical qualification.
• Experience in Trauma and Orthopaedic Fellowship (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of orthopaedic surgical patients.
• Deliver a high quality trauma service.
• Maintain an elective interest to suit the needs of the service and support elective recovery.
• Share responsibility for day-to-day management of the T&O workload.
• Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students where applicable.
• Active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
• Participate in Clinical Governance and Audit.
• Attend meetings as appropriate.
• Fulfil duties of weekly timetable including out-of-hours and MDT involvement.
