Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics to provide a comprehensive service with a subspecialty in lower limb orthopaedics. The role includes covering elective clinics at Lincoln County Hospital and contributing to the trauma rota and high-quality education programs.

You will be GMC registered, ideally with a CCT in Orthopaedic Surgery or within six months of award, and participate in audits and research to advance departmental goals.

Qualifications

• GMC registration to practice in the UK.
• Ideal to hold or be within six months of CCT in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Demonstrated interest in teaching and postgraduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive general trauma and orthopaedic service.
• Offer sub-specialty Lower Limb Orthopaedics to complement colleagues.
• Cover elective orthopaedic clinics at Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln.
• Join consultant on-call rota for emergency duties and cover colleagues as needed.
• Engage in teaching, audits, and departmental education programs.
