Job summary

Seven Resourcing is recruiting a Locum Social Work Team Manager for Torbay. You will lead the Assessment & Intervention Team, ensuring professional standards and high-quality service delivery.

The role offers locum flexibility and the chance to influence outcomes for children and families in a coastal setting. We seek a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration, and prior managerial or senior frontline experience in Children's Services.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work and current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in managerial roles (Team Manager/Deputy Team Manager/Assistant Team Manager).
• Frontline experience in Children's Services with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Assessment & Intervention Team to maintain and improve standards.
• Oversee the assessment process to ensure high service delivery.
• Provide regular supervision, guidance, and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with other services and external agencies to support children and families.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance and implement improvements.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the Assessment & Intervention Team, ensuring professional standards are maintained and improved.
• Oversee the assessment process to ensure a high level of service delivery.
• Support team members through regular supervision, guidance, and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with other service areas and external agencies to deliver comprehensive support for children and families.
• Monitor and evaluate the team's performance, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance service provision.
• A degree or equivalent in social work and current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in a managerial role, such as Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager.
• Proven frontline experience in Children's Services, demonstrating your strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to service delivery.
