Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Practice Nurses in Carnforth to provide flexible, sessional work across community health settings and GP surgeries. You will contribute to primary care services, support routine clinics, deliver procedural care and assist with core nursing duties, with a mix of treatment room tasks, clinical reviews and preventive health activity.

Roles offer varied sessions and a balance of patient-facing care and documentation across clinical systems.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with primary care or community experience.
• Immunisation and cytology experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Run treatment room clinics including wound care and general nursing procedures
• Support chronic disease and long-term condition reviews
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Performing smear tests where qualified
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Maintaining accurate documentation across different clinical systems
• Providing general clinical support to GPs and Nurses
