Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Practice Nurses to provide flexible sessional work in Garnant across primary care services. You will support multiple teams with wound care, chronic disease management and preventative health clinics, following clear protocols and structured workflows.

You can expect ad-hoc or ongoing bookings with weekday, evening or weekend hours, ensuring a well-supported, responsive nursing service across local GP practices.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and familiar with primary care systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carrying out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Performing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Recording accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assisting with general nursing duties as required.
