Job summary

Pertemps Medical Professionals are recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join a busy GP Surgery in Staffordshire for a short-term assignment. Start date is soon with an end date in November and hours from 08:00 to 18:30, Monday to Friday, in a busy Primary Care setting.

The role requires NMC registration, GP surgery experience, strong EMIS Web knowledge and competence in immunisations and cytology. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC Registration is required.
• Experience as a Practice Nurse in a GP Surgery.
• Strong knowledge of EMIS Web.
• Competent in core Practice Nurse duties.
• Confident undertaking Cytology/Smears.
• Experience in Childhood and Travel Immunisations.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy Primary Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of Practice Nurse duties in a busy GP surgery.
• Administer immunisations and travel vaccines.
• Undertake Cytology/Smears as required.
• Manage patient care with excellent communication.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
