Locum Ready is seeking a Practice Nurse to work with a GP practice in Ely. The role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills capable of delivering chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventive health work and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
