Locum Ready is assisting a GP practice in Lymington to recruit a Locum Practice Nurse. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations and treatment room duties in a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews and preventative health work, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership in daily clinic delivery.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained)
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained)
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks
• Document clearly in the clinical system
