Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to support a GP practice in Tonbridge. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations (where trained) and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and timely treatment room activity, with long-term bookings available and regular or ad-hoc sessions to suit your availability.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room work.
• Familiar with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
