Job summary

Pulse Staffing Limited is seeking a Band 7 Paediatric Neonatal Speech and Language Therapist for a locum role in Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The post is based at Wrexham, with possible cover at Glan Clwyd and Gwynedd, starting ASAP.

Flexible full-time or part-time hours, initial 3 months with extension potential. The successful candidate will bring specialist neonatal SALT expertise to support feeding, swallowing, and communication in neonates, working across multiple hospital sites with MDT

Qualifications

• Requirement: recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration is required.
• Specialist neonatal SALT experience essential.
• Flexibility to cover across hospital sites in Wrexham, Glan Clwyd and Gwynedd.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage infants with feeding/swallowing difficulties in neonatal setting.
• Provide neonatal SALT input for complex feeding needs.
• Develop and implement individualised assessment and management plans.
• Collaborate with neonatal medical teams and multidisciplinary staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with standards.
• Contribute to discharge planning and MDT discussions.
