Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Gloucester. The role focuses on autonomous NP-led clinics, minor illness management, urgent on-the-day demand, and contributing to daily clinical activity.

You will deliver triage and pathways, support GPs and Practice Nurses, and maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR. Relevant experience in primary or urgent care and an Independent Prescribing qualification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics
• Telephone triage and patient streaming
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties
