Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Southport. The role focuses on autonomous NP-led clinics, triage, and managing urgent care demand to keep daily clinical activity flowing smoothly.

You will deliver minor illness clinics, undertake telephone triage, diagnose and manage presentations, and prescribe where qualified. Regular or ad-hoc sessions with long-term opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics
• Telephone triage and patient streaming
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties
