Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is assisting a NHS laboratory in Hertfordshire to recruit a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology and Biochemistry. This locum role is full-time and ongoing, with core and late shifts.

You will perform full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film morphology, ensure quality control, and collaborate with clinical teams. Applicants must hold HCPC registration and a Biomedical Science degree; NHS laboratory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Biochemistry and Haematology in a clinical lab.
• Experience with Roche and Sysmex analysers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• NHS experience preferred.
