Job summary

Service Care Local is seeking a Locum Litigation Lawyer to join a local authority on a temporary basis. The role is remote with occasional office or court attendance in the South East England region, with a 3-month contract and 28-36 hours per week.

Salary is £55ph umbrella or £48.17ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, with PAYE exc. holiday pay options (£42.99ph). The caseload includes non-insurance litigation, debt recovery for adult social care fees, and property and commercial disputes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Experience managing a varied and complex litigation caseload.
• Public sector/local authority experience preferred.
• Strong drafting, advisory and client care skills, including drafting briefs to Counsel.

Responsibilities

LOCATION:

South East England / Fully Remote (occasional office/court attendance preferred)

RATE:

£55ph umbrella / £48.17ph PAYE inc. holidya pay / £42.99ph PAYE exc. holiday pay

CONTRACT:

3 months with possibility of extension, 28-36 hours per week

The role involves managing a varied and complex caseload of:

Key requirements:

• Proven experience managing a varied and complex litigation caseload.
