Job summary

Venn Group's Public Sector Legal team is recruiting a Locum Legal Advisor to join on an interim basis for 6–9 months. The position is remote with occasional office attendance and centres on drafting, reviewing and amending straightforward contracts and legal documents for a public sector client.

A law degree or legal qualification is essential; experience drafting or reviewing contracts is advantageous. The role offers an hourly umbrella rate of £40–£45, with expectations to work independently

Venn Group's specialist Public Sector Legal team are currently recruiting for a Legal Advisor to join a well-regarded Public Sector Organisation on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills within a Public Sector legal team, supporting the review and drafting of a range of straightforward commercial agreements.

Role Details:

Position: Legal Advisor
Working Arrangement: Remote working, with occasional office attendance desirable but non essential
Duration: Initial 6–9 months
Rate: £30–45 per hour Umbrella, dependent on experience

Duties may include:

• Drafting, reviewing and amending straightforward contracts and legal documents
• Reviewing and preparing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Assisting with the drafting and review of purchase agreements
• Providing practical support on routine contractual matters
• Supporting the wider legal team with general commercial legal work as required

Candidate Requirements:

• A law degree or legal qualification is essential for this role
• Previous experience drafting or reviewing contracts would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with legal documentation
• A practical and organised approach, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
