University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a locum consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics with specialist Hand & Wrist interest to support elective recovery and reduce waiting times. You will participate in outpatient clinics, elective operating lists, inpatient and day-case activity, and trauma service support across Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Qualifikationen

• Locum Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Hand & Wrist.
• Experience in outpatient clinics, elective operating lists, inpatient and day-case activity; support to trauma service including fracture clinics.
• Fellowship-level training in Hand & Wrist desirable; experience in assessment and surgical management of a broad range of hand and wrist conditions.
• Full GMC Registration and NHS experience are essential.

Aufgaben

• Deliver consultant-level elective care within the Hand & Wrist service and support elective recovery.
• Work with Hand & Wrist multidisciplinary team to deliver service development and capacity.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, elective theatre lists, inpatient/day-case activity, and trauma-related lists as needed.
• Provide supervision and teaching to junior staff and contribute to governance, audits and service improvement initiatives.
