Job summary

Pulse Healthcare seeks a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to specialise in Haematology and Blood Transfusion in Dorset. The locum role is full-time with core hours, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis in a busy NHS laboratory.

You will perform full blood counts, coagulation studies and blood film morphology, ensuring accurate analysis, quality control, and collaboration with clinical teams to support patient care.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required or in place.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Haematology & Blood Transfusion within a clinical NHS laboratory.
• Experience with QPulse, DxH900, Stago STA-Ma and Starrsed ESR.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• NHS experience preferred.

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology/Blood Transfusion to join our client’s team in Dorset. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
