Job summary

Menlo Park International GPs is seeking a qualified General Practitioner to provide locum cover in Workington, Cumbria during October half term and the Christmas/New Year period. The role offers daily rates between £700 and £750.

You will work within an EMIS-enabled practice, with sessions roughly 8:30 to 18:30, and supporting Shared Admin duties as needed.

Applicants must be GMC registered and on the UK Performer’s List; prior locum experience in UK primary care is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified General Practitioner (GP) required.
• GMC registration required.
• UK Performer’s List registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum GP cover for Workington during October half term and the Christmas/New Year period.
• Shift times typically 8:30–18:30 (with sessions possibly 30–6:30).
• Manage 15–17 patient contacts per session.
• Deliver 15-minute face-to-face and 10-minute telephone appointments.
• Support with Shared Admin duties as required.

Background – A forward-thinking practice in Workington needs locum GP cover for October half term, and again over the Christmas and New Year period.
