Job summary

Staff Partners Mental Health is seeking compassionate Female Mental Health Support Workers for locum placements in Gloucester. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, including children and those with autism and disabilities, ensuring dignity and wellbeing.

You will work under established care plans, monitor wellbeing, maintain records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working as a Support Worker in the UK.
• Valid PMVA certificate (BILD-accredited) within the last 12 months.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and medication procedures.
• Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support with daily activities and personal care.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice and individual rights.
• Monitor wellbeing and report significant changes.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Follow medication procedures and guidance.
• Apply behaviour-support strategies, including ABA where applicable.
• Support children and individuals with autism or disabilities; collaborate with team.
