Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a 12-month locum consultant in ENT with a passion for otology. The role encompasses general adult and paediatric ENT, elective and emergency care, and involves developing a dedicated sub-specialist interest in otology and paediatric hearing loss.

Applicants should have FRCS (ORL-HNS) and completed higher training or be within six months of CCT.

Qualifications

• FRCS (ORL-HNS) required for consultant post.
• Higher training or CCT to be completed within six months.
• GMC registration is essential for practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general adult and paediatric ENT work.
• Manage elective and emergency patients.
• Develop a sub-specialist interest in otology and paediatric hearing loss.
• Promote best practice in patient management alongside targets.
• Work with a senior medical and nursing team delivering a high-quality service.
• Contribute to clinical service, teaching and research.
• Teach junior medical staff and supervise SpRs.
• Organise and manage a busy clinical practice.
• Lead a medical firm.
