Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in General ENT and Benign Thyroid to support the ENT team across Royal Stoke and County Hospital. The role combines surgical and clinical duties to reduce backlog, with participation in the on-call rota and involvement in benign thyroid operating lists.

The post requires full GMC registration and eligibility for the Specialist Register within six months.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration is required.
• Entry onto GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry via CCT within 6 months of interview.
• Higher degree (PhD, MSc, or BSc) is desirable/facultative.

Responsibilities

• Support ENT team to reduce waiting list backlog with both surgical and clinical work.
• Work at Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites.
• Take part in on-call rota (1:9 weekdays, 1:14 weekends) and contribute to benign thyroid and ENT lists.
