Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician with a special interest in Children Looked After. The post is based at Edgware Community Hospital with some cross-site work in Barnet.

The role includes leadership as Named Doctor for Children Looked After. Clinically, you will run child development clinics, EHCP assessments and Children Looked After IHAs, and provide medical advice to the Fostering and Adoption Child Health Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinician services to Community Paediatric services as per job plan.
• Show flexibility and undertake different appropriate clinical tasks within allocated DCC sessions at the request of the clinical manager, as the need arises.
• Provide quality assurance and peer review to other staff undertaking Children Looked After IHAs. (Named Doctor)
• Work with consultant colleagues and other staff to ensure efficient use of Trust’s resources and contribute actively to clinical governance in the department and to development of quality enhancement projects in the unit.
