Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Belford Hospital team in Fort William to support the Lochaber area. The post requires HCPC registration and proven NHS laboratory experience; you'll work across Biochemistry, Haematology, Coagulation, Blood Transfusion and Microbiology and contribute to a 24/7/365 on-call rota.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or eligible to apply
• Experience in an acute NHS laboratory
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality, multidisciplinary laboratory service across biochemistry, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion and microbiology
• Contribute to an on-call 24/7/365 rota
• Support the Lochaber redesign project and development of the new state-of-the-art hospital laboratory
