Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work autonomously in a GP practice in Rotherham, delivering independent assessments and management with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes, in a well-organised primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) or postgraduate equivalent.
• V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Rotherham. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.
