Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice located in Dewsbury. The role offers flexible sessional work with robust support from a multidisciplinary team and a well-organised primary care environment.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The clinic supports efficient sessions and clear expectations for staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Level 7 qualification.
• V300 Independent Prescribing authority.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Experience with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision primary care systems.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Complete long-term condition reviews.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses, and HCAs.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs

Requirements

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)
• V300 Independent Prescribing
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings
• Ability to work autonomously and safely
• Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision)
• Enhanced DBS

Working Pattern

• Up to 4 days per week, flexible sessions
