Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work in a GP practice in Romsey. The role offers flexible sessional work with strong support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes in a structured, well-organised primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) or equivalent postgraduate credential.
• V300 Independent Prescribing entitlement.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care settings within the last years.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision primary care systems.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Requirements

Working Pattern

• Up to 4 days per week, flexible sessions
• Morning and afternoon clinics available
