Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Leicester. You will work alongside GPs and nurses to provide comprehensive assessments and safe clinical decisions, with a mix of urgent care, routine appointments and triage.

The role emphasises autonomous clinic work, strong clinical reasoning and high-quality patient outcomes, with flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions to suit availability.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
