Job summary

Locum Ready in Belper is seeking an autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice. You will deliver comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions, and manage a mix of urgent care, routine appointments, and clinical triage.

Working with GPs, nurses and clinical staff, you will prescribe where qualified, handle results and referrals, and maintain compliant records while adapting to flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions.

Qualifications

• ACP Level 7 training required.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
