Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a proactive Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Tiverton. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions, and manage a varied caseload alongside GPs, nurses and broader clinical staff.

The role offers flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions with morning and afternoon clinics, enabling autonomous practice within clear workflows and steady patient demand, and the chance to contribute to high-quality patient outcomes in primary care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
