Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to provide comprehensive assessments and safe clinical decisions for a GP practice in Basildon. You will work with GPs, nurses and staff to manage urgent and routine sessions, delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a well-supported setting.

The role offers flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions, morning and afternoon clinics, and long-term or short-term arrangements to suit autonomy and clinical interests.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
