Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work at a GP practice in Leigh. You will manage a mix of urgent care, routine appointments and clinical triage, collaborating with GPs, nurses and wider clinical staff to deliver safe decisions and high-quality patient outcomes.

The role offers flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions, with morning and afternoon clinics and opportunities for long-term or short-term placements in a supportive primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments.
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations.
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records.
