Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Loughborough. The ACP will conduct autonomous clinical assessments, manage undifferentiated presentations, and run own clinics within a structured primary care setting.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, deliver both urgent and routine care, and benefit from clear pathways, strong admin support and efficient workflows for steady session delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Background may be Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision‑making skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.

• Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week
