Job summary

DB Cargo UK is seeking a Locomotive Engineer to support safe, efficient maintenance and operation of locomotives in the Dollands Moor area. You will work with the maintenance team to perform repairs, diagnostics and risk assessments, while contributing to depot operations and safety initiatives.

The role calls for hands-on engineering expertise, a valid manual driving licence, and a willingness to work across shifts, ensuring high standards of safety and reliability for rolling stock and related

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid manual driving licence.
• Hands-on engineering experience essential.
• Experience in rail sector advantageous.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and overhaul traction and rolling stock safely and on time.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems above Unit 339/350.
• Complete work according to Vehicle Maintenance and Overhaul Instructions (VMOI).
• Assist with breakdowns and any related incidents as required.
