Job description

The main focus of the role is managing projects related to translation, transcreation, content creation, voiceovers, subtitling, production, and others. This entails quoting for work, selecting appropriate suppliers and processes, briefing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and dealing with any queries along the way. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and suppliers worldwide. You will also look for opportunities to improve internal processes and ways of working, and to grow the client accounts you manage.

  • Fluency in English and at least one other language. (You may be an English speaker fluent in a second language, or a speaker of another language.)
  • Great communication skills (by phone/VC and in writing).
  • Ability to work independently when necessary, and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Familiarity with modern office software.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Experience with CAT tools/TMS systems.
  • Strong editing skills in your language.
  • An interest in technology and an informed perspective on the future of the industry.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with experience managing localisation projects in the pharmaceutical/medical/life sciences sector.

At Mother, we value a team that reflects our community and are committed to embracing and maximizing the talents of our people. We believe that diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives make for a more stimulating and inspiring working environment, where everyone is treated with respect and can be themselves. Embracing these differences helps us deliver tangible and positive results for our clients’ businesses.

Working arrangements

The role is based in our office in Bankside, London SE1, which is fully accessible and has gender-neutral bathrooms. You should expect to spend 3 days a week in the office, with the possibility of remote work for the remaining days.

Benefits

The right candidate can expect a friendly working environment and a remuneration package depending on experience. Benefits include:

  • Company pension scheme
  • Private medical insurance
  • Medical cash plan
  • Meal subsidy on days in the office
  • Volunteering days to give back to the community
