Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Local People Partner in the Maidenhead area for a fixed-term maternity cover of 12 months. You will advise leaders and employees on people matters and ensure compliant, timely HR support while aligning with global priorities.

You will collaborate closely with regional partners to manage ER cases, data integrity in Workday, and lifecycle events, delivering high-quality employee experiences in a fast-paced, international setting.

Qualifications

• End-to-end HR generalist capability across core HR disciplines.
• Experience handling employee relations within complex regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws, compliance requirements and employment practices.
• Experience using HR systems such as Workday or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary local people advisor and contact for leaders and employees, providing compliant guidance on people matters.
• Support local employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, redundancies, and lifecycle events.
• Partner with Focal People Partners to support end-to-end HR cyclical activities (MPACT, surveys, talent reviews, ASR, etc.).
• Help leaders implement engagement surveys and action plans at local level aligned with global priorities.
• Ensure accurate people data in Workday, including role changes, moves, and compensation updates.
• Approve Workday transactions within delegated authority and ensure governance compliance.
• Collaborate on workforce changes, restructures, and local initiatives with a focus on employee-centric execution.
• Lead or contribute to local/regional initiatives, policy implementations, audits, and benefits harmonisation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in people processes and partner with EEO delivery teams.
• Share knowledge and build capability within the People Partner community.
